Same drink, three ways. Ingredient-Honest is our top recommendation -- Standard and Sugar-Free are the other options.

Uses Cold Brew Concentrate (Plain, No Protein) — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients & steps

    Sugar-Free

    Ingredients

    • 4oz Cold Brew Concentrate (homemade or store-bought)
    • 2 tbsp Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge)
    • 2oz cold heavy cream (36%+ milkfat)
    • 2oz cold whole milk (or milk alternative)
    • Ice (enough to fill a 16oz glass)

    Steps

    1. 1.Make a batch of Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup ahead of time if you haven't already -- it's a once-every-couple-weeks step, not a per-drink one.
    2. 2.Fill a 16oz glass with ice.
    3. 3.Pour 4oz cold brew concentrate over the ice, then stir in 2 tbsp of the syrup until dissolved.
    4. 4.In a separate small cup or jar, whisk together 2oz cold heavy cream and 2oz cold whole milk -- this is the light sweet cream blend. It should look just barely thickened, not whipped.
    5. 5.Pour the cream blend over the top and stir it all the way through, 2-3 stirs. Serve immediately with a straw.

This is the sugar-free build of our Vanilla Cream Cold Brew — and of the four flavors in this family, it’s the one where “sugar-free” gets closest to true near-zero-calorie territory, since real vanilla extract carries almost no calories on its own once the sugar is swapped out.

    Building the Drink

    1. Fill a 16oz glass with ice and pour 4oz Cold Brew Concentrate over it, then stir in 2 tbsp of the sugar-free vanilla syrup until dissolved.
    2. Separately, whisk 2oz cold heavy cream with 2oz cold whole milk until just loosely combined.
    3. Pour the cream blend over the top and stir it all the way through. Serve immediately.
Chick-fil-A Vanilla Cream Cold Brew vs. This Version
    Chick-fil-A Vanilla Cream Cold Brew (medium)~$4.25 / 520 cal
    Home Sugar-Free Vanilla Cream Cold Brew~$1.42 / 242 cal

Savings per drink: about $2.83, and 278 fewer calories (53% less) than Chick-fil-A’s own published nutrition figures (520 cal per chick-fil-a.com; price is representative, per multiple 2026 menu-price trackers) — the largest calorie cut of any recipe in this 12-drink family.

Assumptions: monk fruit/allulose sweetener at typical grocery pricing, standard grocery heavy whipping cream (~$4.29/pint), and Kirkland Signature Organic A2 Whole Milk. At 5 of these a week over the site’s standard 48-week year (240 drinks), that’s roughly $679/year saved.

    Swaps & Notes

    • Nearly all of the remaining calories here are from the cream blend, not the syrup. If you want to go lower still, swap the whole milk half of the cream blend for unsweetened almond milk — the heavy cream itself is what gives the drink its body, so that’s the harder half to cut without changing the texture.

    FAQ

Why is this the lowest-calorie flavor of the four?

Vanilla extract itself carries almost no calories once the sugar is swapped for a zero-calorie sweetener — unlike toasted marshmallow (which still has real marshmallow bulk) or mocha (real cocoa still carries some calories), there’s very little left to count in the syrup itself.

Do I need to make a fresh batch of syrup for every drink?

No — the syrup batch keeps about 2 weeks and covers roughly 12 drinks.

Can I make this even lighter?

Yes — the cream blend (not the syrup) is now most of what’s left calorically. Swapping its milk half for a lower-calorie alternative is the next place to cut.
