Who we are

Be Your Own Barista ("we," "us," or "our") is a home-coffee content site based in South Carolina, USA, reachable at hello@beyourownbarista.com.

What this site is

Be Your Own Barista publishes articles, recipes, and gear guides about making coffee at home, plus a free savings calculator and (soon) a newsletter. There's no e-commerce, no user accounts, and no marketplace on this site today. If we add any of those in the future, we'll add specific terms for them at that time — this page won't silently start covering things it doesn't mention.

Not professional advice

Everything here is for general informational and entertainment purposes. It isn't financial, medical, nutritional, or professional advice of any kind. Savings figures on this site (including the calculator) are estimates built from the assumptions we state alongside them or that you enter yourself — they're illustrative, not a guarantee of what you'll personally save. The articles, recipes, graphics, and design on this site are our original work (or licensed to us) and protected by copyright. You're welcome to quote short excerpts with attribution and a link back to the original page — that's normal fair use and we're glad to have it. Republishing whole articles, recipes, or images elsewhere without our permission isn't okay. If you'd like to reference our content more extensively, just ask.

This site links to other websites — retailers, brands, other coffee resources — that we don't control and aren't responsible for. A link doesn't mean we endorse everything on that site, and their own terms and privacy practices apply once you're there.

We may update the site or these terms as things change — especially once new features (like a marketplace) launch. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current version. We'll update the date above whenever we do.
