Same drink, three ways. Ingredient-Honest is our top recommendation -- Standard and Sugar-Free are the other options.

Uses Cold Brew Concentrate (Plain, No Protein) — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients & steps

    Standard

    Ingredients

    • 4oz Cold Brew Concentrate (homemade or store-bought)
    • 2 tbsp Vanilla Syrup (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge)
    • 2oz cold heavy cream (36%+ milkfat)
    • 2oz cold whole milk (or milk alternative)
    • Ice (enough to fill a 16oz glass)

    Steps

    1. 1.Make a batch of Vanilla Syrup ahead of time if you haven't already -- it's a once-every-couple-weeks step, not a per-drink one.
    2. 2.Fill a 16oz glass with ice.
    3. 3.Pour 4oz cold brew concentrate over the ice, then stir in 2 tbsp of the vanilla syrup until dissolved.
    4. 4.In a separate small cup or jar, whisk together 2oz cold heavy cream and 2oz cold whole milk -- this is the light sweet cream blend. It should look just barely thickened, not whipped.
    5. 5.Pour the cream blend over the top and stir it all the way through, 2-3 stirs -- this is a mixed-in cream, not a floated cold foam. Serve immediately with a straw.

Vanilla cream cold brew is the plainest, most repeatable drink in this 4-flavor family — cold brew, real vanilla syrup, and a light sweet cream stirred through. If you already keep a jar of our Vanilla Syrup around for lattes, this is the fastest of the four to put together, since there’s no new syrup to make first.

    Building the Drink

    1. Fill a 16oz glass with ice and pour 4oz Cold Brew Concentrate over it, then stir in 2 tbsp vanilla syrup until dissolved.
    2. Separately, whisk 2oz cold heavy cream with 2oz cold whole milk until just loosely combined — not whipped, just blended.
    3. Pour the cream blend over the top and stir it all the way through. Serve immediately.
Chick-fil-A Vanilla Cream Cold Brew vs. This Version
    Chick-fil-A Vanilla Cream Cold Brew (medium)~$4.25 / 520 cal
Home Vanilla Cream Cold Brew~$1.21 / 307 cal

Savings per drink: about $3.04, and 213 fewer calories (41% less) than Chick-fil-A’s own published nutrition figures (520 cal, 22g fat, 75g carb, 9g protein per chick-fil-a.com; price is representative — Chick-fil-A doesn’t publish exact prices, and 2026 menu-price trackers put Cream Cold Brew flavors around $3.65-$4.65 medium).

The syrup pump isn’t actually the biggest lever here. Chick-fil-A’s own listed ingredients include a “milkshake base” (whole milk, cream, sugar, whey powder) stabilized with guar gum and carrageenan for the sweet cream portion — that’s a pre-sweetened, pre-stabilized cream, not plain dairy. Ordering “fewer pumps of vanilla” trims the syrup but leaves that sweetened cream base exactly as-is. This version replaces it entirely with unsweetened heavy cream and whole milk, which is most of why the total drops as much as it does, not just the syrup swap.

Assumptions: cold brew concentrate at grocery-bean pricing, standard grocery heavy whipping cream (~$4.29/pint), and Kirkland Signature Organic A2 Whole Milk ($0.60/cup). At 5 of these a week over the site’s standard 48-week year (240 drinks), that’s roughly $730/year saved against Chick-fil-A’s own medium pricing.

    Swaps & Notes

    • Already have vanilla syrup made for a latte? Same jar works here — no separate batch needed.
    • Want it dairy-free? Swap the whole milk for a plant milk in the cream blend; see Best Milk for Coffee for the tradeoffs on foam and flavor.
    • Prefer less or no sugar? See our Sugar-Free tier. Prefer whole-food ingredients throughout, real maple in place of cane sugar? See the Ingredient-Honest tier.

    FAQ

How is this different from a regular iced vanilla latte over cold brew?

The cream blend here is unsweetened heavy cream and whole milk, poured and stirred through rather than steamed and textured — lighter and less milk-forward than a full latte, closer to what a “cream cold brew” actually is at a café or chain.

Can I use half-and-half instead of heavy cream and milk separately?

Yes, roughly — 4oz half-and-half in place of the 2oz cream + 2oz milk gets you close to the same fat content, though the numbers above are specifically costed for the cream-and-milk version.

Do I need to make a fresh batch of syrup for every drink?

No — the Vanilla Syrup batch keeps about 2 weeks and covers roughly 12 drinks.
