Compare the 3 tiers of this drink

Same drink, three ways. Ingredient-Honest is our top recommendation -- Standard and Sugar-Free are the other options.

Uses Cold Brew Concentrate (Plain, No Protein) — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients & steps

    Ingredient-Honest

    Ingredients

    • 4oz Cold Brew Concentrate (homemade or store-bought)
    • 2 tbsp Cocoa-Maple Sauce (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge)
    • 2oz cold heavy cream (look for one whose only ingredient is cream -- many major brands add carrageenan)
    • 2oz cold whole milk (or full-fat oat milk)
    • Ice (enough to fill a 16oz glass)

    Steps

    1. 1.Make a batch of Cocoa-Maple Sauce ahead of time if you haven't already -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge.
    2. 2.Fill a 16oz glass with ice.
    3. 3.Pour 4oz cold brew concentrate over the ice, then stir in 2 tbsp of the cocoa-maple sauce until dissolved.
    4. 4.In a separate small cup or jar, whisk together 2oz cold heavy cream and 2oz cold whole milk (or full-fat oat milk).
    5. 5.Pour the cream blend over the top and stir it all the way through, 2-3 stirs. Serve immediately with a straw.

Milk options — the Ingredient-Honest read

We hold every milk option to the same bar as the rest of this recipe — here's exactly where each one stands, not just the ones that pass.

    • PassKirkland Signature Organic A2 Whole Milk — organic and rBST-free -- already clears Criterion 16 outright, no change needed
    • ConditionalWhole dairy milk (regular, non-organic) — needs to be organic and rBST-free to fully qualify -- this recipe's own default, Kirkland Organic A2, already is
    • Conditional2% reduced-fat dairy milk — same as regular whole dairy -- needs to be organic and rBST-free to fully qualify
    • PassOat milk (Elmhurst 1925 Unsweetened Milked Oats) — filtered water, whole grain oats, and salt, nothing else
    • PassAlmond milk (Elmhurst 1925 Unsweetened Milked Almonds) — filtered water and almonds only

Calorie figures on this page are estimates based on typical ingredient values, not a lab analysis of your exact batch — they'll shift with the brand of milk, syrup, or protein powder you actually use. "Ingredient-Honest" and "sugar-free" describe what's in the recipe, not a health claim. If you're managing diabetes, a caffeine sensitivity, pregnancy, or another condition, check with a doctor or dietitian before making a recipe part of your routine. Read the full disclaimer.

This is the Ingredient-Honest build of our Mocha Cream Cold Brew — real unsweetened cocoa and real maple syrup in place of cane sugar, the same swap behind our Ingredient-Honest Mocha latte.

The Same Honest Math as the Standard Tier

Chick-fil-A’s own published nutrition puts their Vanilla, Caramel, and Toasted Marshmallow Cream Cold Brews all at the same 520 calories, but their Mocha Cream Cold Brew runs lower — 290 calories small, 370 large (fastfoodnutrition.org, sourced from Chick-fil-A’s own figures; no medium is offered for this flavor). That means this Ingredient-Honest Mocha, at 313 calories, sits almost exactly between their two sizes rather than clearly below both the way the other three Ingredient-Honest flavors in this family land against Chick-fil-A’s flat 520. Cost savings hold up clearly either way.

    Building the Drink

    1. Fill a 16oz glass with ice and pour 4oz Cold Brew Concentrate over it, then stir in 2 tbsp cocoa-maple sauce until dissolved.
    2. Separately, whisk 2oz cold heavy cream (carrageenan-free) with 2oz cold whole milk or full-fat oat milk.
    3. Pour the cream blend over the top and stir it through. Serve immediately.

Chick-fil-A Mocha Cream Cold Brew, large370 cal
    Home Ingredient-Honest Mocha Cream Cold Brew~$1.78 / 313 cal

Assumptions: unsweetened cocoa powder and real maple syrup at typical grocery pricing, a carrageenan-free heavy cream, and Kirkland Signature Organic A2 Whole Milk. Against Chick-fil-A’s historical small/large pricing (roughly $2.89-$3.29, location-variable), this still saves about $1.11-$1.51 per drink, even with the closer calorie comparison.

Swapping the Milk? Here’s the Honest Read on Each Option

Milk swap-ins here get graded against the same bar as everything else on this site, and that verdict doesn’t change by flavor — a clean almond milk is clean whether it’s going into this mocha cream cold brew or any other recipe. Rather than reprint the full rundown on every page, we keep the actual brand-by-brand findings in one place: see the Ingredient-Honest Registry for exactly which oat, soy, almond, rice, and dairy picks Pass, Fail, or carry a condition — including the specific reason each failing brand doesn’t make the cut. Short version for this recipe: stick with Kirkland Signature Organic A2 Whole Milk above, or swap in one of the registry’s Pass picks instead.

    FAQ

Why is the calorie gap smaller here than for the other three Ingredient-Honest flavors?

Because Chick-fil-A’s own Mocha Cream Cold Brew is already their lowest-calorie cream cold brew — the same reason this holds true for our Standard-tier Mocha comparison too. It’s a fact about their menu, not something specific to the maple swap.

Is this the same sauce as the Ingredient-Honest Mocha latte?

Yes — the same Cocoa-Maple Sauce batch works for both.

Do I need to make the sauce every time I want this drink?

No — one batch covers about 10 drinks over two weeks.
