This is a real, currently-sold menu item: Caffe Nero sells a “Caramelised Pistachio Latte,” and Starbucks’ own 2026 winter Pistachio Latte ships with a “salted brown-buttery” topping adjacent to caramel/butterscotch. This version combines this site’s own Pistachio Syrup and Caramel Syrup, two of its most-built flavors.

Two Real Bases, Not a New Fused Syrup

This drink combines two syrups this site already has: 1 tbsp Pistachio Syrup and 1 tbsp Caramel Syrup, split evenly. No new syrup needed.

    Building the Latte

    1. Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) directly into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
    2. Stir in 1 tbsp Pistachio Syrup and 1 tbsp Caramel Syrup while the espresso is still hot.
    3. Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F and pour it over the espresso mixture.
Caffe Nero-Style Latte vs. Home Version
Specialty-café caramelised pistachio latte (tax included)~$6.75
Home pistachio caramel latte (espresso, milk, both bases)~$0.90
    Savings per drink$5.85

Assumptions: grande-size drink, specialty-café pricing (matching the real Caffe Nero menu item this is based on), dairy milk, $16/lb specialty beans or equivalent grocery beans. At 5 drinks a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,404/year back in your pocket.

    Swaps & Notes

    • No espresso machine? A moka pot or strong AeroPress shot works fine.
    • Want it more pistachio-forward or more caramel-forward? Shift the ratio to 1.5 tbsp of one and 0.5 tbsp of the other.
    • Watching sugar? Swap in Sugar-Free Pistachio Syrup and/or Sugar-Free Caramel Syrup 1:1.

    Recipe Card Summary

    • Prep time: 5 minutes (after both bases are made) · Total: 5 minutes
    • Cost: ~$0.90/drink vs. ~$6.75 specialty café equivalent

    FAQ

Is this a real drink, or did you invent the combination?

Real — Caffe Nero sells a Caramelised Pistachio Latte as a current menu item, and Starbucks’ own winter Pistachio Latte ships with a caramel-adjacent brown-buttery topping.

How is this different from your Pistachio Matcha Latte?

The Pistachio Matcha Latte pairs pistachio with matcha instead of caramel — a completely different flavor direction, same pistachio base.

Can I use the sugar-free versions of either base?

Yes — swap in Sugar-Free Pistachio Syrup and/or Sugar-Free Caramel Syrup 1:1; the ratios don’t change.
