This is a real, commercially-sold pairing: Monin sells an official “Coconut Banana Iced Latte” built on its own coconut and banana syrups, and Dilworth Coffee’s tropical “Gold Coast Latte” runs banana, pineapple, and coconut syrups together. This version combines this site’s own Banana Bread Syrup and Toasted Coconut Syrup.
Two Real Bases, Not a New Fused Syrup
This drink combines two syrups this site already has: 1 tbsp Banana Bread Syrup and 1 tbsp Toasted Coconut Syrup, split evenly — the same pattern this site already uses for Caramel Bananas Foster Latte. No new syrup needed.
Building the Latte
- Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) directly into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
- Stir in 1 tbsp Banana Bread Syrup and 1 tbsp Toasted Coconut Syrup while the espresso is still hot.
- Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F and pour it over the espresso mixture.
Assumptions: grande-size flavored latte, chain pricing, dairy milk, $16/lb specialty beans or equivalent grocery beans. At 5 drinks a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,327/year back in your pocket.
Swaps & Notes
- No espresso machine? A moka pot or strong AeroPress shot works fine.
- Want it more banana-forward or more coconut-forward? Shift the ratio to 1.5 tbsp of one and 0.5 tbsp of the other.
- Prefer it iced? Use the Hot/Iced toggle above — this is the format Monin’s own commercial version is actually built for.
- Watching sugar? Swap in Sugar-Free Banana Bread Syrup and/or Sugar-Free Toasted Coconut Syrup 1:1.

FAQ
Is this a real pairing, or did you invent it?
Real — Monin sells an official Coconut Banana Iced Latte syrup combination, and Dilworth Coffee’s Gold Coast Latte runs the same core pairing with pineapple added.
How is this different from your Bananas Foster Latte?
The Bananas Foster Latte pairs banana with caramel; this drink pairs it with coconut instead — a completely different, more tropical flavor direction.
Can I use the sugar-free versions of either base?
Yes — swap in Sugar-Free Banana Bread Syrup and/or Sugar-Free Toasted Coconut Syrup 1:1; the ratios don’t change.
