This is a real, officially-published pairing: Honey.com’s own recipe site publishes a “Whipped Honey Mocha Coffee” built on instant coffee, cocoa powder, and real honey. Chocolate/Mocha is the single most-used flavor on this whole site (79 recipes), and this version pairs it with Honey Syrup — a real, overlooked combination, not a one-off idea.
Two Real Bases, Not a New Fused Syrup
This drink combines two syrups this site already has: 1 tbsp Mocha Sauce and 1 tbsp Honey Syrup, split evenly. No new syrup needed.
Building the Latte
- Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) directly into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
- Stir in 1 tbsp Mocha Sauce and 1 tbsp Honey Syrup while the espresso is still hot.
- Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F and pour it over the espresso mixture.
Assumptions: grande-size drink, independent/specialty-café pricing (honey-sweetened mochas are a smaller-batch specialty-menu item, not a standard chain pump-bottle syrup), dairy milk, real grocery honey. At 5 drinks a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,325/year back in your pocket versus the café version.
Swaps & Notes
- No espresso machine? A moka pot or strong AeroPress shot works fine.
- Want it more chocolate-forward or more honey-forward? Shift the ratio to 1.5 tbsp of one and 0.5 tbsp of the other.
- Watching sugar? Swap in Sugar-Free Mocha Sauce and/or Sugar-Free Honey Syrup 1:1.

FAQ
Is this a real pairing, or did you invent it?
Real — Honey.com’s own official recipe site publishes a Whipped Honey Mocha Coffee built on the same honey-plus-cocoa idea.
How is this different from your plain Mocha?
The Mocha is sweetened entirely by the cocoa sauce’s own sugar; this version replaces part of that sweetness with real honey, which changes the flavor noticeably.
Can I use the sugar-free versions of either base?
Yes — swap in Sugar-Free Mocha Sauce 1:1; honey itself doesn’t have a sugar-free version on this site since it’s a whole-food sweetener, not a processed syrup.
