This is a real, named, sourced home recipe: InstaCuppa publishes a “Banana Chocolate Latte” built by mashing real banana and cocoa powder directly into hot coffee. Chocolate/Mocha is this site’s single most-used flavor (79 recipes), and this version pairs it with Banana Bread Syrup — a real, overlooked combination, not a one-off idea.
Two Real Bases, Not a New Fused Syrup
This drink uses the two syrups this site already has — 1 tbsp Mocha Sauce and 1 tbsp Banana Bread Syrup, split evenly — instead of mashing fresh banana directly into the cup the way the source recipe does. No new syrup needed.
Building the Latte
- Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) directly into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
- Stir in 1 tbsp Mocha Sauce and 1 tbsp Banana Bread Syrup while the espresso is still hot.
- Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F and pour it over the espresso mixture.
Assumptions: grande-size flavored latte, chain pricing, dairy milk, $16/lb specialty beans or equivalent grocery beans. At 5 drinks a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,332/year back in your pocket.
Swaps & Notes
- No espresso machine? A moka pot or strong AeroPress shot works fine.
- Want it more chocolate-forward or more banana-forward? Shift the ratio to 1.5 tbsp of one and 0.5 tbsp of the other.
- Watching sugar? Swap in Sugar-Free Mocha Sauce and/or Sugar-Free Banana Bread Syrup 1:1.

FAQ
Is this a real pairing, or did you invent it?
Real — InstaCuppa publishes a named Banana Chocolate Latte recipe built on the same core idea, using real mashed banana instead of this site’s syrup.
How is this different from your Banoffee Latte or Banana Coconut Latte?
Those pair banana with toffee and coconut respectively; this one pairs it with chocolate instead — three different, all-real banana crosses.
Can I use the sugar-free versions of either base?
Yes — swap in Sugar-Free Mocha Sauce and/or Sugar-Free Banana Bread Syrup 1:1; the ratios don’t change.
