    • Optional: sugar-free whipped cream and a few chopped toasted pecans for topping

Real browned-butter flavor with a sugar-free brown sugar substitute in place of packed brown sugar — worth being upfront that this cuts added sugar close to zero but doesn’t zero out calories, since real butter still carries real fat calories.

Make the Syrup First (Just Once)

This recipe assumes you already have a jar of Sugar-Free Butter Pecan Syrup in the fridge — a 20-minute batch that makes about 8 drinks’ worth and keeps about a week (real butter, shorter shelf life than our sugar-syrup-based recipes).

    FAQ

Does this cut calories as well as sugar?

Partially. It cuts the syrup’s calories from 156 to 52 per serving by removing the sugar, but real butter still carries real fat calories — this isn’t a zero-calorie drink.

Why does this cost more per drink than most of the site’s sugar-free lattes?

Sugar-free brown sugar substitutes cost more per cup than plain allulose or monk fruit, and this syrup also has real butter in it. It’s still a large saving versus the café version.

Do I need to make the syrup every time I want this drink?

No — one batch keeps about a week and covers roughly 8 drinks.
