    Snickerdoodle Protein Latte

The BYOB Team5 min1 drink (from a batch of Snickerdoodle Syrup that makes about 12 servings)$1.83/drink344 cal/drink

Uses Snickerdoodle Syrup — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients & steps

    Standard

Written hot. Switch to see the iced version's ingredients and steps.

    Ingredients

    • 2oz espresso (or 1/3 cup strong coffee/moka pot equivalent)
    • 8oz milk
    • 1 scoop (about 30g) whey protein powder, vanilla or unflavored
    • 2 tbsp Snickerdoodle Syrup (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge)

    Steps

    1. 1.Whisk the whey protein into the cold milk in a separate cup until fully smooth, before any heat is involved.
    2. 2.Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) directly into your serving cup.
    3. 3.Stir 2 tbsp of Snickerdoodle Syrup into the hot espresso until fully combined.
    4. 4.Steam or froth the protein-milk mixture to about 150°F and pour it over the espresso-syrup mixture.
    5. 5.Serve immediately.

This is our regular Snickerdoodle Latte with a scoop of whey blended into the milk — same real cinnamon-sugar cookie syrup, same 2-minute assembly, built to also carry a real protein number.

    Building the Latte

    1. Make a batch of Snickerdoodle Syrup ahead of time if you don’t have one.
    2. Whisk 1 scoop of whey protein into 8oz of cold milk until completely smooth.
    3. Pull a double shot of espresso into your cup and stir in 2 tbsp of the syrup while it’s hot.
    4. Steam or froth the protein-milk mixture and pour it over the espresso-syrup mix.
Café Protein Snickerdoodle Latte vs. Home Version
Café snickerdoodle latte with a protein add-on~$7.05
    Home protein snickerdoodle latte~$1.83
    Savings per drink$5.22

Assumptions: grande-size drink, national-average café pricing for a snickerdoodle-flavor latte plus a protein add-on, dairy milk, $16/lb specialty beans or equivalent grocery beans, whey protein at ~$0.88/scoop. No seasonal ceiling on this one. At 5 drinks a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,253/year back in your pocket versus the café version.

    Swaps & Notes

    • Iced version: use the Hot/Iced toggle above the ingredients for less milk (4oz cold, shaken with the protein, instead of 8oz steamed).
    • Want vanilla layered in too? See our Snickerdoodle Vanilla Latte for the non-protein two-syrup version of this idea — a protein take on that combo works the same way, just add a whey scoop and use half portions of each syrup.
    • Protein total: about 24g from the whey scoop, plus roughly 8g from the 8oz of dairy milk — around 32g total (28g on the iced 4oz-milk version).

    Recipe Card Summary

    Snickerdoodle Protein Latte

    • 2oz espresso + 8oz steamed milk (protein blended in) + 2 tbsp Snickerdoodle Syrup
    • Prep time: 5 minutes · Total: 5 minutes
    • Cost: ~$1.83/drink vs. ~$7.05 café version · ~32g protein

    FAQ

Why is this syrup pricier per serving than caramel or vanilla?

Snickerdoodle syrup uses more cinnamon and a slightly more involved cooking process than the site’s simpler syrups — see Snickerdoodle Syrup for the full batch breakdown at ~$0.13/serving, still far cheaper than a café add-on.

Does the protein powder change the cinnamon-sugar flavor?

Minimally — a vanilla or unflavored whey blends into this flavor profile easily. The syrup’s cinnamon and brown-sugar notes stay the dominant flavor.

Can I make this without the syrup, just cinnamon and sugar?

You can, but the result will taste flatter — the syrup’s cooking process rounds the cinnamon flavor out in a way a straight cinnamon-and-sugar stir-in doesn’t replicate.
