Same drink, three ways. Ingredient-Honest is our top recommendation -- Standard and Sugar-Free are the other options.

Uses Sugar-Free Salted Caramel Syrup — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients

    • 2oz espresso (or 1/3 cup strong coffee/moka pot equivalent)
    • 8oz milk or unsweetened milk alternative, steamed or frothed
    • 2 tbsp Sugar-Free Salted Caramel Syrup (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge)
    • 1/4 tsp flaky sea salt (such as Maldon), for finishing
    • Optional: sugar-free whipped cream for topping

    Steps

    1. 1.Make a batch of Sugar-Free Salted Caramel Syrup ahead of time if you haven't already -- it keeps in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
    2. 2.Pull a double shot of espresso (or brew strong coffee) directly into your serving cup.
    3. 3.Stir in 2 tbsp of the sugar-free salted caramel syrup while the espresso is hot.
    4. 4.Steam or froth 8oz of milk (dairy or unsweetened alternative) to about 150°F and pour over the espresso-syrup mixture.
    5. 5.Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt sprinkled directly on top of the foam. Add sugar-free whipped cream if using, then a second small pinch of salt on top.

Our Sugar-Free Caramel Latte already cuts the added sugar of a café caramel latte close to zero. This version adds real salted-caramel character on top of that — built on a dedicated Sugar-Free Salted Caramel Syrup that’s salted two ways in the jar, then finished with a pinch of flaky salt at the table.

Make the Syrup First (Just Once)

This recipe assumes you already have a jar of Sugar-Free Salted Caramel Syrup in the fridge — a 20-minute batch (most of it hands-off cooling) that makes about 12 drinks’ worth and keeps for 2 weeks. If you haven’t made a batch yet, go do that first, then come back here.

    Building the Latte

    1. Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
    2. Stir in 2 tbsp of the sugar-free salted caramel syrup while the espresso is hot.
    3. Steam or froth 8oz of milk (dairy, or an unsweetened alternative if you’re also watching carbs) and pour over the espresso-syrup mixture.
    4. Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt sprinkled right on top of the foam. Add sugar-free whipped cream if you want the full café look, then one more small pinch of salt.
Cost and Sugar, Home vs. Café
    Home sugar-free salted caramel latte~$1.10
Café grande salted caramel latte (regular)$6.15
    Savings per drink$5.05

Plus you’re skipping the added sugar a standard café salted caramel latte carries — this version has close to none.

The syrup batch is a one-time ~$3.15 and makes about 12 drinks — see the full syrup recipe for the batch method and cost breakdown.

Assumptions: grande-size drink, national-average café pricing for a salted-caramel flavored latte, allulose at typical grocery pricing (~$3/cup at bulk-bag pricing), flaky sea salt at typical grocery pricing.

    FAQ

Do I need to make the syrup every time I want this drink?

No — one batch keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge and covers roughly 12 drinks, so this page is just the 5-minute assembly step.

If I’m cutting sugar, should I get this or the Ingredient-Honest version?

This one. Our Ingredient-Honest Salted Caramel Latte swaps refined sugar for real maple syrup but isn’t lower in sugar or calories — this Sugar-Free version is the one actually built to cut both.

Does the salt affect the sugar-free math at all?

No — salt has zero calories and carries no sugar, so both salt layers in the syrup and the finishing pinch are “free” on the nutrition math. Only the allulose swap changes the sugar/calorie numbers.
