Strawberry Coconut Cooler
Ingredients & steps
StandardIngredients
- 1 hibiscus tea bag (e.g. Tazo Passion, or any hibiscus/fruit tea blend)
- 1/2 cup (4oz) hot water, just off a boil
- 1oz (2 tbsp) white grape juice
- 1oz (2 tbsp) açaí juice blend (e.g. Sambazon)
- 1/3 cup (about 2oz) frozen strawberries, thawed and diced small
- 4oz coconut milk beverage (carton, shaken or stirred well -- or a substitute, see the milk-swap widget above)
- Ice (enough to fill a 16oz glass)
Steps
- 1.Steep the hibiscus tea bag in the 4oz of hot water for 4-5 minutes -- less water than a straight tea-based Cooler, since coconut milk is filling out the rest of the glass.
- 2.Fill a 16oz glass with ice.
- 3.Pour the hot tea directly over the ice to flash-chill it.
- 4.Stir in the white grape juice and açaí juice.
- 5.Add the diced strawberries, then top with the coconut milk. Give it one gentle stir -- some visible color layering before it fully combines is normal and looks like the café version.

Strawberry Coconut Cooler is our Strawberry Açaí Cooler with coconut milk poured in for part of the water — that’s genuinely the whole difference at the café, and it’s the whole difference here too. Same tart hibiscus-and-strawberry base, just creamier and pinker. Like that recipe, there’s no coffee or espresso in this drink at all.
Building the Drink
- Steep 1 hibiscus tea bag in 4oz of just-off-the-boil water for 4-5 minutes.
- Fill a 16oz glass with ice and pour the hot tea over it to flash-chill.
- Stir in 1oz white grape juice and 1oz açaí juice.
- Add about 2oz diced strawberries, then top with 4oz coconut milk (see the milk-swap widget above for dairy or other plant-milk options). One gentle stir is enough — some color layering before it fully blends is normal.
Assumptions: grande-size drink, national-average café pricing, hibiscus tea, white grape and açaí juice, frozen strawberries, and a carton-style coconut milk beverage (not canned) at typical grocery pricing. At 5 of these a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,162/year back in your pocket versus the café version.
Swaps & Notes
- Want it richer? Swap in canned full-fat coconut milk (shaken well) using the milk-swap widget above — noticeably higher in calories and cost, but closer to a dessert-drink texture.
- Don’t like coconut? Almost any milk works here — dairy, oat, almond, or soy all swap in cleanly via the widget above, though the name “Strawberry Coconut Cooler” specifically describes the coconut-milk version made here.
- This is the same base as the Strawberry Açaí Cooler with less water and coconut milk added — if you’ve already got that recipe’s ingredients on hand, you don’t need anything new here except the milk.

FAQ
What’s the actual difference between Strawberry Coconut Cooler and the Strawberry Açaí Cooler?
Just the water-to-coconut-milk swap — this recipe uses less brewed tea and replaces the rest of the liquid with coconut milk, which is also what makes it look pinker and taste creamier. Everything else (tea, juices, strawberries) is identical.
Can I use a different milk than coconut?
Yes — it just stops matching the “Strawberry Coconut Cooler” name once you swap the coconut milk out, since that’s literally what the name describes. The milk-swap widget above lets you try dairy, oat, almond, or soy instead, and the drink still works, just with a different flavor profile than the coconut original.
Is there any coffee in this at all?
No — this is a fruit-tea drink from top to bottom. If you want the caffeine kick of an espresso shot stacked on top of a fruit-tea base instead, that’s a different category of drink than this one.
