Iced Jasmine Milk Tea Cooler (Dairy-Free)

The BYOB Team5 min1 drink (from a batch of Jasmine Milk Tea Concentrate that makes about 6 servings)~$0.24/drink after the concentrate batch (~$1.43 one-time for the concentrate, makes ~6 drinks)65 cal/serving

Uses Jasmine Milk Tea Concentrate — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients & steps

    Standard

    Ingredients

    • 4oz Jasmine Milk Tea Concentrate (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 1 week in the fridge)
    • Ice (enough to fill a 16oz glass)
    • 4-6oz cold water, to taste

    Steps

    1. 1.Make a batch of Jasmine Milk Tea Concentrate ahead of time if you haven't already -- it keeps about a week in the fridge.
    2. 2.Fill a 16oz glass with ice.
    3. 3.Pour 4oz of the jasmine concentrate over the ice.
    4. 4.Top with 4-6oz cold water, adjusting to taste -- less water for a stronger, sweeter tea, more for a lighter one. Stir and serve immediately with a straw.

Not medical or nutrition advice. Calorie figures on this page are estimates based on typical ingredient values, not a lab analysis of your exact batch — they'll shift with the brand of milk, syrup, or protein powder you actually use. "Ingredient-Honest" and "sugar-free" describe what's in the recipe, not a health claim. If you're managing diabetes, a caffeine sensitivity, pregnancy, or another condition, check with a doctor or dietitian before making a recipe part of your routine. Read the full disclaimer.

This is the dairy-free member of our Jasmine Milk Tea family — same concentrate as the Latte and Frappé, but diluted with plain cold water instead of milk. No dairy, no coffee, nothing but real steeped jasmine tea over ice.

Make the Concentrate First (Just Once)

This recipe assumes you already have a jar of Jasmine Milk Tea Concentrate in the fridge — a 20-minute batch that makes about 6 drinks’ worth and keeps about a week. If you haven’t made a batch yet, go do that first, then come back here.

    Building the Cooler

    1. Fill a 16oz glass with ice.
    2. Pour 4oz of the jasmine milk tea concentrate over the ice.
    3. Top with 4-6oz cold water, adjusting to taste. Stir and serve immediately.
Café/Tea-Shop Jasmine Milk Tea Cooler vs. Home Version
    Café/tea-shop grande iced jasmine tea$4.95
Home jasmine milk tea cooler (concentrate + water, over ice)~$0.24
    Savings per drink$4.71

The concentrate batch itself is a one-time ~$1.43 and makes about 6 drinks — see the full concentrate recipe for the batch method and cost breakdown.

Assumptions: grande-size iced drink, café/tea-shop average pricing for a plain iced jasmine or green tea, jasmine green tea bags and granulated sugar at typical grocery pricing. Water and ice aren’t counted toward cost, the same convention used for every iced tea, cooler, and diluted concentrate on this site. At 5 of these a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,130/year back in your pocket versus the café version.

    Swaps & Notes

    • This is the same concentrate as the Latte and Frappé. If you’re already making either of those, this is a zero-shopping-list variant — just skip the milk and add water instead.
    • Want it creamier without dairy? Try a splash of oat or coconut milk in place of some of the water — it stops being a strict “no milk” build at that point, but the concentrate math still holds if you swap in the same volume.
    • Prefer it with milk? See the Jasmine Milk Tea Latte (hot or iced) or the Frappé (blended).
    • Want it less sweet? Make the concentrate with 1/4 cup sugar instead of 1/2 cup — see the concentrate recipe’s Swaps & Notes.

    FAQ

Is this the same drink as the Jasmine Milk Tea Latte, just without milk?

Yes, structurally — same concentrate, diluted with cold water instead of combined with milk. It’s a genuinely different drink to taste (lighter, clearer, no creaminess), but the same jar of concentrate covers both.

    Does this have caffeine?

A little, from the jasmine green tea itself — green tea generally runs lower in caffeine than black tea or coffee, but it isn’t caffeine-free.

Can I make a bigger batch for a pitcher?

Yes — multiply the concentrate and water by however many servings you want and keep it in the fridge for same-day serving, same as any other iced tea.
