Uses Peach Syrup — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.
Ingredients & steps
StandardWritten hot. Switch to see the iced version's ingredients and steps.
Ingredients
- 2oz espresso (or 1/3 cup strong coffee/moka pot equivalent)
- 8oz milk, steamed or frothed
- 2 tbsp Peach Syrup (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 1 week in the fridge)
- Optional: whipped cream for topping
Steps
- 1.Make a batch of Peach Syrup ahead of time if you haven't already -- it keeps in the fridge for about 1 week, so this is a once-a-week step, not a per-drink one.
- 2.Pull a double shot of espresso (or brew strong coffee) directly into your serving cup.
- 3.Stir 2 tbsp of the peach syrup into the hot espresso until fully combined.
- 4.Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F and pour over the espresso-syrup mixture.
- 5.Top with whipped cream if using. Serve immediately.

Calorie figures on this page are estimates based on typical ingredient values, not a lab analysis of your exact batch — they'll shift with the brand of milk, syrup, or protein powder you actually use. Peach has shown up this season across more chain menus than almost any other new flavor we tracked — Scooter’s, Summer Moon, Peet’s, 7 Brew, Tim Hortons, and Dunkin’ all have some version of it right now. The homemade version below gets the same real, fruity flavor from a simmered-and-strained peach syrup instead of a flavor pump — once the syrup’s made, assembly takes about 2 minutes.
Make the Syrup First (Just Once)
This recipe assumes you already have a jar of Peach Syrup in the fridge — a 25-minute batch (most of it hands-off simmering) that makes about 10 drinks’ worth and keeps for about a week. If you haven’t made a batch yet, go do that first, then come back here.
Building the Latte
- Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) directly into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
- Stir in 2 tbsp of the peach syrup while the espresso is still hot — it dissolves faster and blends better than adding it after the milk.
- Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F (see How to Make a Latte at Home for the full milk-steaming technique if you’re new to it) and pour it over the espresso-syrup mix.
- Top with whipped cream if you want the full café look.
The syrup batch itself is a one-time ~$2.10 and makes about 10 drinks — see the full syrup recipe for the batch method and cost breakdown. It pays for itself in two drinks.
Assumptions: a 16oz drink at typical national-chain pricing for a seasonal fruit-flavored latte, dairy milk, $16/lb specialty beans or equivalent grocery beans. At 5 peach lattes a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,313/year back in your pocket versus the chain version ($5.47 x 5 x 48 = $1,312.80).
Swaps & Notes
- Want a “Peach Chai Latte”? Summer Moon’s version pairs peach with chai spice — stir a splash of our Chai Concentrate in alongside the peach syrup for a close approximation.
- Watching sugar? This is the classic-flavor version. If you want the same drink with less or no sugar, see the Sugar-Free Peach Latte (same method, swapped sweetener) or the Ingredient-Honest Peach Latte (real maple syrup, no refined sugar — our top recommendation if you’re choosing between the three).
- Iced version: use the Hot/Iced toggle above the ingredients to switch — it’s not just “add ice.” You’ll want less milk (about 4oz cold over ice instead of 8oz steamed, since the ice takes up room in the glass) and the syrup still goes into the hot espresso first so it dissolves, before that mixture gets poured over ice and topped with cold milk.
- Want a cold-brew or Italian-soda version instead of a latte? The same Peach Syrup works as a cold-brew mix-in or soda-water base — our Peach Energy Cooler and Peach Green Tea Lemonade already cover the no-espresso refresher side of this flavor if that’s what you’re after.

FAQ
Do I need to make the syrup every time I want this drink?
No — that’s the whole reason the syrup lives in its own recipe. One batch keeps about a week in the fridge and covers roughly 10 drinks, so this page is just the 5-minute assembly step.
Can I make this without an espresso machine?
Yes — a moka pot, AeroPress, or even strong drip coffee works. See How to Make a Latte at Home for the no-machine method.
Is this the same drink at every chain that sells a peach latte?
No — “peach latte” covers a few different builds across chains (some lean peach-only, some pair it with chai or cream cold foam), which is why we’re comparing to a representative chain price instead of one specific menu item. The build here (real simmered peach syrup + espresso + milk) is a solid stand-in for most versions.
Is this the same as the Peach Energy Cooler or Peach Green Tea Lemonade?
No — those are both no-coffee refresher/cooler drinks built on raw muddled or diced peach. This one is an actual espresso latte, built on a simmered-and-strained peach syrup the same way our other latte flavors work.
