Ingredients & steps

Ingredients
- 2oz espresso (or 1/3 cup strong coffee/moka pot equivalent)
- 8oz whole milk (or full-fat oat milk), steamed or frothed
- 2 tbsp peach-maple syrup (make a batch first -- see below; it keeps about 1 week in the fridge)
- Optional: whipped cream (real heavy cream, whipped -- canned whipped topping isn't part of this tier's ingredient standard) for topping
Steps
- 1.Make a batch of peach-maple syrup first if you haven't already (see the full method below) -- a 25-minute batch (most of it hands-off simmering) that keeps about a week in the fridge.
- 2.Pull a double shot of espresso (or brew strong coffee) directly into your serving cup.
- 3.Stir in 2 tbsp of the peach-maple syrup while the espresso is hot until fully combined.
- 4.Steam or froth 8oz of whole milk or full-fat oat milk to about 150°F and pour over the espresso mixture.
- 5.Top with whipped cream (real, not canned) if using. Serve immediately.

Not medical or nutrition advice. Calorie figures on this page are estimates based on typical ingredient values, not a lab analysis of your exact batch — they'll shift with the brand of milk, syrup, or protein powder you actually use. "Ingredient-Honest" and "sugar-free" describe what's in the recipe, not a health claim. If you're managing diabetes, a caffeine sensitivity, pregnancy, or another condition, check with a doctor or dietitian before making a recipe part of your routine. Read the full disclaimer.
Peach has shown up across more chain menus than almost any other flavor this season — Scooter’s, Summer Moon, Peet’s, 7 Brew, Tim Hortons, and Dunkin’ all run some version of it. Our Standard and Sugar-Free peach tiers already use real, simmered peaches rather than a flavor extract — so the one thing left to upgrade for a fully whole-ingredient version is the sweetener. This tier skips the cane-sugar (or sweetener) syrup entirely and simmers the peaches directly in real maple syrup instead.
What “Ingredient-Honest” Means Here
Three ingredients doing all the work: real peaches, real maple syrup, and a touch of lemon juice. No refined cane sugar, no gums, no flavor extract, nothing you’d need a label to identify. Same honesty as our other Ingredient-Honest tiers: calories and total sugar land a bit higher here than the Sugar-Free version and roughly in line with the Standard version, because maple syrup isn’t meaningfully lower in either than cane sugar. The upgrade here is ingredient sourcing, not a nutrition hack — see the “Why This Costs More” section below for the honest comparison across all three tiers.
Swapping the Milk? Here’s the Honest Read on Each Option
Milk swap-ins here get graded against the same bar as everything else on this site, and that verdict doesn’t change by flavor — a clean almond milk is clean whether it’s going into this peach latte or any other recipe. Rather than reprint the full rundown on every page, we keep the actual brand-by-brand findings in one place: see the Ingredient-Honest Registry for exactly which oat, soy, almond, rice, and dairy picks Pass, Fail, or carry a condition — including the specific reason each failing brand doesn’t make the cut. Short version for this recipe: stick with Kirkland Signature Organic A2 Whole Milk above, or swap in one of the registry’s Pass picks instead.
Make the Syrup First (Just Once)
This syrup isn’t split onto its own page — make this batch once, and it covers about 10 drinks over the next week.
Ingredients (syrup batch):
- 1.5 cups (about 8oz) fresh or frozen peaches, peeled and diced
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Method:
- Combine the peaches, maple syrup, and lemon juice in a small saucepan over medium heat — no water needed, since maple syrup is already a thin, pourable liquid.
- Bring to a simmer, mashing the peaches as they soften, and cook 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until syrupy and reduced.
- Strain through a fine-mesh strainer, pressing the solids to extract as much syrup as possible.
- Let cool completely, then store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 1 week (real fruit, so it doesn’t keep as long as this site’s all-spice maple syrups like the Eggnog-Maple Syrup). Use 2 tbsp per drink.
Building the Latte
- Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
- Stir in 2 tbsp of the peach-maple syrup while the espresso is hot.
- Steam or froth 8oz of whole milk (or full-fat oat milk) to about 150°F and pour over the espresso mixture.
- Top with whipped cream (real, not canned) if you want the full café look.
The syrup batch is a one-time ~$6.01 (real maple syrup and real peaches are the entire cost) and makes about 10 drinks — see the breakdown above, which comes out to about $0.60 per drink in syrup alone.
Assumptions: 16oz drink, typical national-chain pricing for a seasonal fruit-flavored latte, whole milk, real maple syrup at typical grocery pricing (~$8-9 for a 12oz bottle) and frozen peaches at typical grocery pricing. At 5 of these a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,219/year back in your pocket versus the chain version ($5.08 x 5 x 48 = $1,219.20).
Why This Costs More Than the Sugar-Free Tier (and Why That’s Fine)
Being straight about the math: this version costs about $0.20 more per drink than the Standard syrup version and about $0.20 more than the Sugar-Free version, because real maple syrup costs more per serving than sugar or a sugar-free sweetener — the same gap you’ll see across every tiered family on this site. It’s also not lower in calories or total sugar than the Standard version, and it’s higher in both than the Sugar-Free version. What you’re actually paying the premium for is ingredient sourcing: no refined sugar, no flavor extract, nothing you couldn’t name out loud. This is the tier we recommend by default — pick it because you want that, not because we’re pretending it’s the cheapest or lowest-calorie option. It isn’t; the Standard version is close in cost and the Sugar-Free version is lower-calorie.

FAQ
Do I need to make the syrup every time I want this drink?
No — one batch keeps about a week in the fridge and covers roughly 10 drinks, so once it’s made you’re just doing the 5-minute assembly above each time.
Is this recipe actually lower in sugar than the Standard version?
No — maple syrup and cane sugar carry a similar amount of sugar per serving, and this version’s sugar count (~18g) runs slightly higher than the Standard syrup’s (~16g) since nothing here is diluted with plain water the way the Standard syrup is. If sugar content specifically is your priority, see the Sugar-Free Peach Latte instead, which is built to minimize it.
Why is this version more expensive than the other two tiers?
Real maple syrup simply costs more per serving than sugar or a sugar-free sweetener does. It’s still a large saving over a chain peach latte — just the smallest saving of the three tiers, and we’d rather tell you that upfront than round up the number.
What does “Ingredient-Honest” actually check for?
A 16-criteria, self-graded standard covering things like: a real, recognizable sweetener (no HFCS or sugar alcohols marketed as “natural”); no seed oils, gums, or synthetic preservatives anywhere in the recipe or its substitutions; no unlabeled “natural flavor”; and milk sourced without synthetic growth hormone. It’s not a third-party certification — it’s this site’s own dated, sourced grading, the same “show the math” standard this site already applies to cost claims.
