    S'mores Frappé

The BYOB Team5 min1 drink (from a batch of Mocha Sauce that makes about 12 servings)$0.97/drink200 cal/drink

Uses Mocha Sauce — make a batch ahead of time; it keeps in the fridge for a week or two, so you won't need to make it again for every drink.

    Ingredients & steps

    Standard

    Ingredients

    • 2oz espresso, freshly pulled (or 1/3 cup strong coffee/cold brew)
    • 2 tbsp Mocha Sauce (make a batch ahead of time -- it keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge)
    • 1 tbsp toasted marshmallow flavored syrup (e.g. Torani Toasted Marshmallow)
    • 4oz cold milk
    • 1.5 cups ice (about 10-12 standard cubes)
    • 1 tbsp crushed graham crackers, for topping

    Steps

    1. 1.Make a batch of Mocha Sauce ahead of time if you haven't already -- it keeps in the fridge for about 2 weeks.
    2. 2.Pull a double shot of espresso -- no need to cool it first.
    3. 3.Add the espresso, Mocha Sauce, toasted marshmallow syrup, cold milk, and ice to a blender.
    4. 4.Blend on high for 30-45 seconds, until smooth and slushy with no ice chunks left.
    5. 5.Pour into a 16oz glass, top with the crushed graham crackers, and serve immediately with a straw.

Our S’mores Mocha covers the three real components — chocolate, toasted marshmallow, and graham — this is the same combination, blended into a frappé instead of steamed and poured.

Make the Sauce First (Just Once)

This recipe assumes you already have a jar of Mocha Sauce in the fridge. If you haven’t made a batch yet, go do that first, then come back here.

    Building the Frappé

    3. Blend on high for 30-45 seconds until smooth and slushy.
    4. Pour into a 16oz glass, top with crushed graham crackers, and serve immediately with a straw.
Café S'mores Frappé vs. Home Version
    Café-style blended s’mores/toasted marshmallow drink (grande)~$7.15
Home s’mores frappé (espresso, milk, ice, sauce, syrup, graham)~$0.97
    Savings per drink$6.18

The sauce batch itself is a one-time ~$1.30 and makes about 12 drinks. Assumptions: grande-size blended drink, national-average pricing for a specialty seasonal/campfire-flavor blended drink, dairy milk, a standard bottled toasted marshmallow syrup, and a standard sleeve of graham crackers. At 5 of these a week over the site’s standard 48-week year, that’s roughly $1,483/year back in your pocket versus the café version.

    Swaps & Notes

    • No espresso machine? Strong cold brew or a double-strength moka pot shot both work fine.
    • Want it poured over ice instead of blended? That’s just the S’mores Mocha’s iced build — same ingredients, poured instead of blended.
    • Want it less sweet? Drop the marshmallow syrup to 1/2 tbsp.
    • Want a real torched marshmallow on top instead of just the syrup? Broil 1-2 whole mini marshmallows for 30-90 seconds until deeply golden and set them on the whipped cream before the graham topping — see our plating guide for the exact timing and method.

    FAQ

Can I make this without a blender?

The S’mores Mocha’s iced build uses the same ingredients poured over ice instead — a completely valid version, just a different texture.

Do I need to make the sauce every time?

No — one batch keeps about 2 weeks in the fridge and covers roughly 12 drinks across the mocha and frappé versions combined.

Does the graham cracker topping get soggy fast?

A little, yes — it’s a garnish, not a mix-in, so it’s best added right before serving rather than ahead of time, and eaten within the first few minutes for the best crunch.
