Not medical or nutrition advice. Calorie figures on this page are estimates based on typical ingredient values, not a lab analysis of your exact batch — they'll shift with the brand of milk, syrup, or protein powder you actually use. "Clean-ingredient" and "sugar-free" describe what's in the recipe, not a health claim. If you're managing diabetes, a caffeine sensitivity, pregnancy, or another condition, check with a doctor or dietitian before making a recipe part of your routine. Read the full disclaimer.
This version swaps the Standard Irish Cream syrup’s sweetened condensed milk for real heavy cream and real maple syrup – a genuine ingredient-sourcing upgrade, without the corn syrup and stabilizers a can of condensed milk typically carries.
What “Clean-Ingredient” Means Here
Real cream, real maple syrup, a little cocoa for warmth, and the same non-alcoholic Irish cream flavoring extract used across all three tiers. No condensed milk, no corn syrup. Unlike some of our other Clean-Ingredient tiers, this one lands close in price to the Standard version – see the syrup recipe for why (short version: condensed milk is already a fairly concentrated, not-cheap dairy product, so there’s less of a “cheap sugar vs. pricey maple” gap to close here).
Make the Syrup First (Just Once)
This recipe assumes you already have a jar of Maple Irish Cream Syrup in the fridge – a 15-minute batch (mostly simmering and cooling) that makes about 12 drinks’ worth and keeps about a week. If you haven’t made a batch yet, make that first, then come back here.
Building the Latte
- Pull a double shot of espresso (about 2oz) into your cup, or brew a strong coffee/moka pot equivalent.
- Stir in 2 tbsp of the maple Irish cream syrup while the espresso is hot.
- Steam or froth 8oz of milk to about 150°F and pour over the espresso mixture.
- Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder if you want the full café look.
The syrup itself is a one-time ~$5.05 and makes about 12 drinks – see the full syrup recipe for the breakdown, which comes out to roughly $0.42 per drink in syrup alone – essentially the same as the Standard tier’s syrup cost.
Assumptions: grande-size drink, national-average café pricing, dairy milk, heavy cream and real maple syrup at typical grocery pricing, non-alcoholic Irish cream flavoring extract at typical specialty-baking pricing.
Why This Tier’s Premium Is Smaller Than Usual
Most of our Clean-Ingredient recipes cost noticeably more than their Standard counterpart, because they swap cheap granulated sugar for pricier real maple syrup. This one’s different: the Standard Irish Cream syrup already starts from a relatively rich dairy base (sweetened condensed milk), not cheap sugar water, so there’s a smaller gap to close. This version costs about a penny more per drink than Standard and runs 3 more calories – basically a wash on the numbers. The real difference is sourcing: no condensed milk, no corn syrup, an ingredient list you can read out loud.

FAQ
Is this healthier than the Standard version?
It avoids condensed milk’s corn syrup and stabilizers, but it isn’t meaningfully lower in calories or sugar – the two land within a few calories of each other. “Clean-ingredient” here means sourcing, not a nutrition overhaul.
Why doesn’t this cost a lot more than the Standard version, like your other Clean-Ingredient recipes usually do?
Because the Standard Irish Cream syrup isn’t built on cheap sugar the way our other Standard syrups are – it’s built on sweetened condensed milk, which is already a relatively rich dairy product. See the note above.
Is there alcohol in this drink?
No – same non-alcoholic Irish cream flavoring extract used in all three tiers. There’s no liqueur in any of our Irish Cream recipes.
